Lend an everyday tool
Describe your tool’s condition, accessories and pickup and return arrangements.
Check that the tool is permitted
Loans and gifts of games, books, ordinary craft supplies, simple decorations and everyday tools in good condition are accepted. For a tool, describe its condition, required accessories and the manufacturer’s instructions. Ladders and scaffolding, heating appliances, safety equipment, infant products, medical or chemical products, recalled or damaged items and equipment requiring special authorization or training remain excluded. Sales and swaps remain paused.
Describe the tool precisely
In “List an item”, choose “Tools”. Describe the model, condition, included accessories and manufacturer’s instructions. Add recent photos and available dates.
Agree on terms before accepting
Discuss the accessories, intended use, pickup and return times and meeting place with the borrower. Do not hand over a tool if you are not comfortable with its condition or intended use.
Confirm pickup and return
Check the condition and accessories together at pickup and return. Use the loan confirmations in the app. Report any incident and keep relevant messages.
