Create a circle around a shared interest

Choose a theme, visibility and rules for a friendly group.

Open “Circles”
Choose “Circles” in the menu, then “Create a circle”. New community circles are no longer created from “My friends”.
Introduce your circle
Enter its name, an interest, town and short introduction. Select an active theme from the list; use the theme refresh button if it needs updating.
Choose who can find it
“Visible” makes the circle’s profile discoverable. “Hidden” keeps it out of searches, suggestions and public profiles, and requires invitations. A visible circle can use open, request-based or invitation-only membership.
Prepare the rules and form
Write the circle’s rules. You can add up to three membership questions and mark answers as required. Do not request a home address, phone number or sensitive information.
Create your circle
Review the form, then choose “Create my circle”. Wait for confirmation. You become its creator and can invite members or offer a manager role.
